[MAC] Antivirus prevents Measure to install - falsely flagged as Trojan Horse

This article addresses a known issue where Measure can't be installed, as it is incorrectly flagged by antivirus software as a thread. The workaround while this is being addressed is available at the bottom of this article.

Measure won't install - flagged by antivirus software

After software installation, some antivirus software is flagging the SoundID Reference Measure app as a "Trojan.MacOS.Generic.PFH", preventing a successful installation. This mostly has been reported with a variety of free antivirus software. Our developers are looking into this and we expect a permanent fix soon. 

Workaround

While our team works on a permanent solution, we recommend reverting Measure back to the previous release. Follow the steps below. 

1. Uninstall the Measure app (keep the remaining software installed) - Removing the SoundID Reference apps
2. Reinstall Measure 5.13.7 instead.
