Beta install instructions

Beta releases are available in our SoundID Reference online installer (for both Windows and Mac), download here. 

1. Launch the installer and click on Customize
2. Click on the drop-down box and select the Beta version
3. Click on the Install button to proceed

What to expect from Beta update releases?

Releasing Beta versions of SoundID Reference is crucial for software updates. These updates undergo extensive testing in Beta before full release. While Beta releases aren't officially announced in our newsletters, they are publicly available (see the installation instructions above).

Beta releases focus on testing new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes for major issues. Changes in Beta are not listed in release notes but can be found in our Beta testing communities. 

Be aware that Beta releases may have stability issues due to changes. Contact our support team for any problems. You can revert to previous stable versions in our download center. 

Help us with your feedback

Beta releases are announced on various platforms and communities, from which feedback is gathered. This gives Sonarworks a better idea of how the updates are impacting our users and helps us assess the scale of any issues.
