• Current Beta version: no Beta available 

Beta install instructions

Beta releases are available in our SoundID Reference online installer (for both Windows and Mac), download here. 

1. Launch the installer and click on Customize
2. Click on the drop-down box and select the Beta version
3. Click on the Install button to proceed

What to expect from Beta update releases?

Releasing Beta versions of SoundID Reference is one of the key aspects of the software update flow. Software updates require large-scale testing in Beta before the full releases. Beta releases are not officially announced in our newsletters but they are publicly available (install instructions).

Apart from testing new functionality, and performance improvements, Beta releases also be dedicated to testing bug fixes for significant product issues. Changes implemented in Beta are not documented in release notes; they can only be found in our Beta testing communities. 

Keep in mind that in Beta releases there is potential for unforeseen stability issues due to the changes implemented. Reach out to our support team if you're experiencing any issues. You can always revert to previous stable versions, available in our download center.

Beta releases are announced on various platforms and communities, from which feedback is gathered. This gives Sonarworks a better idea of how the updates are impacting our users and helps us assess the scale of any issues.
