Processing modes (license types)

There are two processing modes in SoundID VoiceAI, and they are equivalent to the license types. The processing mode toggle switch at the top of the plugin allows quick switching between the modes:

• Perpetual mode: Requires a one-time payment for a Perpetual license. Featuring unlimited local processing and a catalogue of 50+ Factory Presets, this is the best license option for most users. Preset Expansion Packs are available as a separate purchase.
• Pay-as-you-go mode: Purchase Token packs and use Tokens based on actual processing time. This more uses cloud processing with no subscription fees, suitable for occasional use. All presets are available, including the Expansion Packs.

Perpetual license - unlimited local processing

The SoundID VoiceAI Perpetual license is the simplest and fully-featured license option for most users, featuring access to our current factory database of 50+ voice and creative/instrument presets, unlimited local processing on your computer's CPU, and the processing speed is significantly faster than Pay-as-you-go mode too.  

The Perpetual mode also enables the Unison Mode feature for vocal double-tracking (not available in the Pay-as-you-go mode). 

Note: While the audio processing takes place on your CPU locally, an internet connection is still required for the license to be recognized and for downloading/updating the database (offline use is not supported). 

SoundID Download Manager

For local processing in the Perpetual mode, the presets are downloaded and stored locally via SoundID Download Manager, which launches automatically when clicking on one of the garyed-out presets in SoundID VoiceaAI. Options are available for downloading and installing everything at once or selecting individual presets only. Once done, the downloaded presets will automatically become available to use in the plugin.

Preset Expansion Packs

Preset Expansion Packs in SoundID VoiceAI are genre-focused sets of new preset releases, separate from the default catalogue of 50+ Factory Presets. The Expansion Packs are available as a separate purchase to Perpetual license owners. For Pay-as-you-go mode users (cloud processing), the Expansion Packs are available at no additional cost.

These presets can be found in the "Expansion packs" section in the SoundID VoiceAI plugin, displaying the exact list of preset names, properties, and which expansion pack they belong to. If you have purchased a preset pack, the pack download can also be initiated from here (there will be a "Download" icon available next to available presets after registering and activating an expansion pack). 

Where to buy Expansion Packs 

Preset Expansion Packs are available in the Sonarworks Store and are registered as separate licenses in your Sonarworks Account. Where to find the Expansion Pack keys in user accounts

The license keys for Expansion Packs are registered the same way as a full license key or add-on keys, in the top-right corner of the account. Expansion Packs follow the license state of the SoundID VOiceAI Perpetual license. You can view and manage your registered Expansion Packs by clicking on 'Explore and manage preset expansion packs' below your SoundID VoiceAI license. 

Pay-as-you-go mode - tokens and minutes

In Pay-as-you-go mode, audio is processed in the cloud, and usage is charged on a per-minute basis. There are no subscriptions or hidden fees. You simply purchase token packs and spend tokens based on how much audio you process.

Cloud-based processing takes approximately 2.5x the duration of the original audio. To fine-tune your results or reduce artifacts, you can reprocess for free up to 10 times per hour.

This mode includes access to the full catalogue of 50+ Factory Presets, and the Preset Expansion Packs are included by default — you only pay for what you process. Ideal for users who prefer not to rely on local CPU resources and need to use SoundID VoiceAI only occasionally.

Note: The Unison Mode for vocal double-tracking is not available in the Pay-as-you-go mode (available in the Perpetual mode only).

How are tokens calculated when processing audio?

• Processing cost: 600 tokens per 1 minute of audio processing.
• A minimum charge of 70 tokens (7 seconds) applies for each processing instance, followed by increments of 10 tokens (1 second).
• Transpose adjustments to an already processed audio capture will require re-processing.
• Free reprocessing with different Transpose settings is available. There is a limit of 10 free reprocessing instances, which resets hourly.
• Tokens are still deducted if processing is Canceled while in progress.

Before committing to process the entire track, it's a good idea to highlight and process a smaller section of the track first and ensure the results sound good. 

Token packs

SoundID VoiceAI token packs can be purchased from your Sonarworks Account:

• Small token pack: 72,000 tokens (120 minutes of audio processing) - 19.99 EUR/USD
• Medium token pack: 180,000 tokens (300 minutes of audio processing) - 39.99 EUR/USD
• Large token pack: 360,000 tokens (600 minutes of audio processing) - 69.99 EUR/USD

Note: Unused tokens will expire 12 months after the purchase is made. If multiple token packs are present in the account, the oldest tokens are used first automatically. The token balance is displayed in the SoundID VoiceAI plugin and in your Sonarworks Account, where you can also see the Transaction history details (purchase history, usage history, and expiry dates.

Reprocessing

All processing (including Reprocessing) is unlimited in the Perpetual mode, however, it is also possible to Reprocess the results in the Pay-as-you-go mode for free up to 10 times per hour to minimize excessive artifacts (additional reprocessing will deduct tokens, see below). Free Reprocessing is only available with the same Preset. 

After the captured audio has been processed, clicking on the Reprocess button starts processing again with the same source, Preset, and Transpose combination by default. The previous processing result will get overwritten. 

If the hourly free Reprocessing limit is reached, the "Free processing is unavailable" message will be displayed, and the option to Use tokens is available.

Can I try it for free?

• Full trial: Free 7-day trial for SoundID VoiceAI, fully featured with all presets (Factory and Expansion Pack), and both processing modes (Perpetual and Pay-as-you-go).

Are subscription plans available?

No, currently, only the Perpetual and Pay-as-you-go models are available.

Can I activate and use SoundID VoiceAI on multiple devices?

Yes, after purchasing, you can activate and use SoundID VoiceAI on multiple devices: 

• Perpetual license: activate and use the plugin on 3 devices at the same time.
• Pay-as-you-go mode (tokens): unlimited active devices.

Note: SoundID VoceAI is limited to a single device during trial (one trial instance per device). 

Can I trial the Perpetual mode if I have already purchased tokens?

Yes, you can still trial the Perpetual mode if you have already purchased and activated a token pack for Pay-as-you-go. Trial extensions are available for both processing modes by contacting Sonarworks Support (Submit a request below).

Where can I preview the voice packs?

For existing Perpetual license owners, submit a support request below for a trial extension - this will allow you to fully test the Preset Expansion Packs.

How to add multiple Voice Packs to your order?

In order to purchase multiple Voice Packs in one order, click on "Go to our store→", available at the bottom of the Expansion Pack list. From there, add the Voice Packs of your choice to your cart before proceeding to checkout.

Are the trial tokens retained after purchasing a token pack?

No, the free trial tokens will expire once the trial runs out or once a token purchase is made.
