Note: The Essential Components (29KB) and plugin files can not be installed at a different location than the default.
URL handler/license service
The license service and URL handler for the SoundID VoiceAI software can be located at these locations. These services can be restarted in case of activation issues, see how in this article.
macOS
/Library/Application Support/Sonarworks/Licensing
Windows
C:\Program Files\Sonarworks\Licensing
Plugin settings
The SoundID VoiceAI plugin settings are stored in the settings.xml file ('Favorite' presets, global settings, etc.). This file also contains information on various file locations used (Common Assets, audio Cache folder, etc.).
To reset the plugin to a fresh configuration state, the settings file can simply be deleted. It will be regenerated automatically upon loading the plugin DAW, with default settings restored.
macOS
Macintosh HD/Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Sonarworks/SoundIDVoiceAI/settings.xml
Windows
C:/Users/user.name/AppData/Roaming/Sonarworks/SoundIDVoiceAI/settings.xml
Log files
In case of issue troubleshooting, Sonarworks Support may ask you to provide the SoundID VoiceAI log files, which can contain crucial information to detect problems. Find log files in the following locations:
macOS
Macintosh HD/Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Sonarworks/SoundIDVoiceAI/logs
Windows
C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Sonarworks\SoundIDVoiceAI\logs
Common Assets (locally stored presets)
When using the Perpetual mode, the audio processing is done locally on your computer. To do this, Common Assets are downloaded and stored locally, which amounts to ~5GB of storage space.
Once downloaded, the presets are stored in this location by default:
macOS
Macintosh HD/Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Sonarworks/SoundIDVoiceAI/Assets/Presets
Windows
C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Sonarworks\SoundIDVoiceAI\Assets\Presets
Custom install location for Common Assets
It is possible to select a custom location for Common Assets during the installation process:
macOS
Windows
Note: The User/Library and user\AppData folders on macOS and Windows are hidden by default. To enable showing hidden files and folders, follow the instructions here: How to show hidden files on macOS and Windows?
Audio cache folder (raw processed files)
The raw audio files generated with SoundID VoiceAI are saved in WAV format (at 16-bit/48 kHz). These files can accumulate considerable storage space, and they are stored in the audio Cache folder in the following locations:
macOS
Macintosh HD/Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Sonarworks/SoundIDVoiceAI/cache
Windows
C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Sonarworks\SoundIDVoiceAI\cache
Note: It is recommended to use the native track bounce features in your DAW to render in place the processed audio. After bouncing, the given SoundID VoiceAI plugin instance can be removed, which allows for cleaning up the raw audio files from the cache folder and avoiding unnecessary storage space growth.
Custom install location for audio Cache folder
While there is no dedicated feature to customize the cache file location, it is possible to set it up manually. Follow the instructions here to set it up: Setting up a custom location for the SoundID VoiceAI audio cache folder

Please implement a drag&drop function of proceess results, else it is very hard to find the result file because of token style file names. It should be ease to access the result direct in the DAW plugin to drag it to any track in the DAW.
Prifuso Thank you for your feature request! I have shared this with our Product team and they'll look into it.
It would be useful to implement the ability to install folder with the audio files on another drive - it's almost 6GB. Will this be possible?
Yes! Please! Make these Raw files movable.
obcower Michael Hulse we're happy to share that it is now possible to set up a custom location for the audio Cache folder! See instructions in the article linked above.
