I've been having issues since macOS Tahoe launched, and SoundID reference has become buggier over time for me.
If my computer sleeps, it usually stops working. No audio get through at all, and the volume meter on the right of the main window shows nothing. Restarting the playback engine doesn't fix it. When I play the test signal, it plays back at half speed, regardless of sample rate or buffer size settings. Normally I have it set to 88200 Hz.
So basically I'm having to restart the computer every time it goes to sleep. Bummer.

Actually it now seems that it's working, but the test signal still plays at half speed, and the sleep issue remains.
I'm having the test signal playback issue also with version 5.13.5.1210 on macOS Monterey 12.7.6 on a Mac Studio M1 Ultra. it sounds like I'm scrubbing tape to find the downbeat to make a cut, lol… leeeeeeefffft….. riggggggghhhht.
I have rebooted the computer and have checked for updates and any sample rate mismatch between Sound ID and my UA Apollo interface, and have checked sample rates and buffer sizes, and have reinstalled also but still have the same issue reported.
Enable debug mode cannot be switched on from preferences so unfortunately I can't test that to produce a log to send.
Any help much appreciated.
Ash
P.s. The current version on the website is showing as 5.13.5.1215 but the download is version above as are the release notes.
And for tech support reading, the check fro updates from the Mac topbar icon is now working again. I didn't see that logged in release notes.
Hi,
Thanks for posting here!
Brandon Nelson I'm glad to hear you got it working. Regarding the remaining sleep issue, can you try to turn OFF the 'Adjust output device gain' in the app Preferences, and see if that makes a difference? If any issue persists, it would be helpful to write directly to us, so we can investigate this further.
