SoundID Reference 5.12.3.1 (download here) update introduces profile export for a new integration device: Audient ORIA Mini. ORIA Mini is a monitor controller/DSP unit that can store and run SoundID Reference speaker calibration profiles on its internal DSP.
Quick summary
- The integration requires a SoundID Reference base license (any speaker version) and the new ORIA Mini Room Correction Add-on license; see pricing here: ORIA Mini | Pricing.
- Supports 2.0 stereo speaker calibration profiles.
- Calibrated bass management is available for stereo setups with a subwoofer.
- Import and store 4 speaker calibration profiles.
- With analog and digital inputs (TRS and SPDIF), ORIA Mini integrates seamlessly into your existing signal chain.
- Runs via the ORIA Control app via USB-C, and the profile configuration remains fully functional when the device is unplugged from the computer.
- Each ORIA Mini box comes with a new Sonarworks MREF Measurement Microphone variation (the ORIA Mini device is not available separately without the microphone).
Latency and performance
-
Latency
Analogue inputs: 0.38ms.
Digital Inputs: 2.2ms. -
EQ, crossover, and filter type
This integration uses 16-band IIR, plus High Shelf and Low Shelf. Both the Left and Right channels have their own Crossover filters (High Pass/Low Pass IIR) which can be set between 30Hz and 500Hz. -
Sample rate
The ORIA Mini operates at 96kHz and uses sample rate conversion on the digital inputs, hence the latency remains the same regardless of the sample rate used by the audio interface.
What do you need to use it, and how can you buy it?
There are three components needed to use ORIA Mini with SoundID Reference:
- ORIA Mini Room Correction Add-on license
- ORIA Mini Room Correction System | with Measurement Microphone
- SoundID Reference for Speakers & Headphones license
Depending on the components you already have, there are two bundle options available (Add-on Bundle and Complete Bundle). A separate add-on-only option is also available to customers who have bought the ORIA Mini separately (hardware only) from other sellers. Proceed to the Pricing page for more details.

Genuine question, do you guys have a dedicated QA team? How large is that team? I cannot understand how these updates keep rolling out with so many bugs. After being a customer of yours for years I am now extremely hesitant to update anything, not a great experience.
BUG REPORT
HW: MacOS 14.7.6 / ARM
VERSION: 5.12.3.1 (latest)
BUG: With UAD Integration add-on. Headphone profiles are not adjustable - dry wet does not work, custom targets and translation check do not work. There is no longer a prompt to “Apply Profile” after making any changes to the profile.
* tried deleting systemwide.cfg - this resulted in no change.
..and the only version I can roll back to is the many-years-old 5.9.2.5. Now I am without the ability to adjust my headphone correction until you solve this issue. Last time it took *months*.
Jordan Stone sorry to hear you're getting stuck with this! The bug you describe with the Apollo X integration has already been fixed internally and is now in testing. We expect it to reach the Beta channel shortly, with a hotfix release planned for next week (including a few other fixes). In the meantime, there’s a 5.12.2.31 rollback workaround documented here: "Apply profile to Apollo X" button missing for headphone profiles after SoundID Reference 5.12.3.1 update.
We’ll update both your support ticket and the article linked above as soon as the fix is available. Thanks for flagging it, and apologies again for the disruption — we’re working to get this resolved quickly.

If I have a calibration mic already from my soundid purchase can I just purchase the ora mini unit and the add license? Do I need the ora mini mic package? Can this be added as a separate purchase for those who already have a soundid calibration mic?
Does anyone else have this answer?
Also during calibration will the measurement software now guide/calibrate bass when sub is set to external? Then export that profile to Ora mini?
Andrew Arcurio as already stated above, each ORIA Mini box comes with a new Sonarworks MREF Measurement Microphone included. Due to the product requirements from all partners involved in the project, we were not able to implement another ORIA Mini product variation without the microphone, unfortunately.
For the subwoofer, follow the step-by-step instructions here: Calibrated bass management with ORIA Mini
So - I purchased the Oria mini from Andertons. The listing says: Audient ORIA Mini Room Correction System. Unlock your best mix with the ultimate hardware room correction system, powered by Sonarworks. That clearly suggests that this is in fact a “Mini Room Correction System powered by Sonarworks” - granted the URL says “hardware only” - which I only see now that I'm pasting it…

I get the unit, comes with a mic - and find out I have to pay to get the software to actually use the mic that is sold with the unit? Is this correct? There is no indication that this is required at purchase. You say it here - but not at the dealer level. There is a bundle where for less than $100 more it would have been everything? If I have this unit now as a mistake - there is no way to upgrade to this bundle?
I'm minutes away from a return - the messaging around this launch is so incredibly confusing.
Please clarify as a non sonarworks user - who now owns a brick, what is my next step to use this as expected?
Randy thanks for commenting!
Good question — this should be addressed to the dealer and their staff. While ORIA Mini was a joint development, it remains an Audient product, owned and distributed by Audient, with Sonarworks providing the integration. The unit has its own standalone correction EQ, and SoundID Reference is an optional addition.
Sonarworks Store also sells ORIA Mini (bundled with the SoundID Reference software), but it’s available from other sellers without SoundID Reference included.
As for third-party listings, Audient provides dealers with accurate product information, but it’s ultimately up to each seller to ensure their descriptions are correct. Since Audient handles distribution, Sonarworks doesn’t have control over how resellers present the product.
