Can't activate Sound ID Voice AI perpetual license

I've just bought VoiceAI, can't register it. Already stopped to use Sound ID Reference cause of neverending various bugs but i thought why not to try this Voice AI and i can't even activate it! What a products, wow :) Sorry to ask but is there a way to refund? P.S.: thread started 5days ago! No input from Karlis or anyone else, just hope that someone will fix this stuff….

This is what is happening to me when I try to activate / register my soundid Vocal AI. I paid  $ 79.00 for the right to use this software. I have not gotten a reply to the last service request.

In my case i manage to register, just when i try to activate it the button turn into “retry” and norhing happens. 

Happy I did not buy this, and just downloaded the trial – seems like a LOT of people having this problem?

Getting stuck here - I click on Open LicenseUrlHandler - but nothing happens. LicenseUrlHandler.app is also not in the App Store.

So I bought the perpetual license and the ONLY way that I have been able to get this plugin to work is every time I open my DAW I get this and if I login to my account and try to reinstall everything it will eventually populate in my DAW with the plugin. Once I close the DAW down and return again, I have to start ALL OVER again with this screen, reinstall, get the plugin working again, but ONLY for that session! Once I close the DAW again I am back to square one! PITA! Like royally! Please tell me there is a fix for this! Seems like it will ONLY work with a fresh install EACH time I use it!

I had trouble to activate too, I just loggged-out and logged-in in the DAW plugin and it seems to work, it's downloading all the voices in perpetual version.

Windows 11.  Similar to Alexei I have problems activating.  Still shows as not activated on my profile.  Perpetual voices downloaded and usable in DAW.  The "activate plugin" button on the website changes to “retry” when clicked but does not impact the activation status in my user profile.  Could be the HTML needs debugging

I had the same thing in Win 11, when you open the plug-in does still demo mode,if so there is a small switch top right that can switched to Perpetual if that is what you purchased. After I did that it worked for me, hope this helps.

Yeah, for me I can get the plugin to work per daw session, once I leave my daw I have to reinstall to get it to work again no matter how many times I flip it to perpetual. I am running on an iMac Pro. Royal PITA! 

I have a version of the above described problems. Bought the perpetual, managed to activate, but the SonarworksLicenseUrlHandler.exe doesn't run from browser or if I open it manually. Tried compatibility mode, etc, but nothing works. I will have to ask for the money back if there is no solution to this.

Same here, cannot activate - what is going on with these people?

Possible workaround?  After messing with this for two days, I found something that worked.  No idea if it it's a permanent fix, just sharing what worked for me.

I signed on to Sonarworks from my cellphone (Android) and was able to load the activation key for Voice AI through the web app there.

Went back to my PC (Windows 10), closed all the SoundID software, deleted the User and License JSON files, and started Pro Tools.

When I inserted the plug in and flipped the ‘Perpetual’ switch, I got the activation pop up which took me to my account page and I hit Activate.

Back in Pro Tools it finally opened the window to dowload all the voice files, etc.  And so far, it's working in the session to capture and use.

Best of luck - I still have a ticket open for official help.

Thank you for reporting. Sorry to hear you're getting stuck!

This has been a known issue that can mostly be resolved on an individual basis. We have implemented improvements in the latest couple of releases too. Therefore, it is recommend to update to the latest. Please try a fully clean reinstall, which should initiate a reset for some of the involved licensing components. Follow the step-by-step directions here: Unable to activate SoundID VoiceAI

Additionally, if you're running macOS, make sure the Sonarworks license services are added to Login Items as shown in the article.

I saw that some of you have already reached out to us and the issue was resolved. I'm glad to see that. If anything, certainly let us know.

I just purchased the perpetual license and cannot activate it. (Windows 11)

Tried both Chrome and Edge, allowed everything for the site.

I log into my account, click on activate - and nothing happens. I click on Retry, nothing happens.
I made sure the SonarworksLicenseService is running, also tried restarting it…. nothing.

I tried manually running the SonarworksLicenseUrlHandler.exe - nothing.

I tried uninstalling the software completely and installing the newest version - nothing.

I just can make it activate my copy.

The problem is that I need the software very fast for an ongoing project.

Please help, since I am running out of ideas.

i have same problem first i cant log in to my account without vpn and after log in success with vpn and press activate the LicenseUrlHandler not launch , also i try manualy to launch from windows folder nothing happen , i have latest soundid AI

For those struggling with activation, here are the steps I took to solve it.

01) Uninstall everything completely including deleting the data folders, as explained in the troubleshooting guide.

02) Installing the latest version of the software

03) THIS STEP IS CRUCIAL - You need to register and enter the license number BEFORE activating, but the link for entering the license is placed on a bit of a confusing place on the site in my opinion - top right corner. At first I completely missed that link and did not know where to enter the license. So make sure you enter and register the license number before proceeding
 

04) After you have succesfully registered the new license, you need to open the plugin within your DAW (keep it open) and only then click on ACTIVATE button on the site.

05) After that, the perpetual license option will appear in the plugin and you can begin to download all of the models.

I downloaded all the software, it is registered and I have the perpetual licence and it all shows up, however when I run the audio into any vocalist nothing changes and I am unable to hear the audition audio.

We have released improvements in the last two releases and are working hard on a release a version that should fix this completely. Please update to the latest version and follow the steps here to make it work in case you’re still unable to activate SoundID VoiceAI:

Well I found a workaround for my system (IMac Pro) which has previously NEVER worked no matter how many times I delete and do a fresh install. I have followed to the letter every step in the “unable to activate SoundID VoiceAI” support page and my system still refuses to load “LicenseServer” at boot. This for me, seems to be my only issue as once “LicenseServer” is loaded everything works and runs fine UNTIL I reboot! Then I am back to square one! Here is my workaround which seems to work reliably without me having to manually load “LicenseServer” on every boot! My workaround….

It appears that the core issue is that the local system is NOT loading “LicenseService” at boot no matter what version of the SoundID Voice AI is loaded. 

I simply went to “System Settings” >>> “General” >>> “Login Items” >>> then up at the top of this screen is a “Open at Login” box which allows you to manually add login items. Click on the + sign and then locate on your boot drive (in my case Macintosh HD) >>> Library >>>Application Support >>> Sonarworks >>> Licensing >>> then choose LicenseService and click open on the bottom right. 

This seems to work to load LicenseService every time I boot now and I don't have to manually load it anymore nor do I have to keep choosing perpetual license over and over! Hopefully this will help someone else out there who is struggling with getting SoundID VoiceAI to run reliably on their system!
