Can you try to launch the URLhandler and LicneseService manually? Find them in the location shown below. I've created a support request on your behalf - let us know if this makes any difference and we'll proceed in the thread. Thank you!

I too have this problem! I just reinstalled my MacOS operating system, and now I have the same thing happening to me. When I open the LicenseURLhandler it stays open, but when I press the activate button on my account page it closes again and nothing is activated. 

Need some help, please! :)

It seems like both cases were resolved in support request threads, but it is unclear what the solution was. 

If anyone else is encountering this issue, please share in this thread, or submit a support request.

Thank you for your help. It works now. Important to open plugin and to clic on “perpetual”. 

Same problem here but I find a solution.

I manually find the location of the licensing folder explained by Kārlis Stenders.

Then I click right on the “LicenseUrlHandler” file. Choose “List the content of the package” and open “MacOS” folder.

Double -click on the “LicenseUrlHandler” file.

Then return on the Sonarworks web page of license → OK

Shut down your daw and restard. Use the vst. OK for me with Ableton. Enjoy

I Launched LicenseUrlHandler, terminal opened but nothing happened and now in my plugin or in the manager there is a black screen with a message “Please start the Sonarworks license service” … that's it :(

I'm having the same issue as well. I'm on Windows 10 and have a perpetual license. Clicking activate fails to open LicenseURLhandler….I'm stuck.

I'm having the same issue.  Mac OS 14.2.1.  

Same issue on win10 with Firefox and Edge. Manually starting ‘SonarworksLicenseUrlHandler’ also does not work.

Same issue here. Something is seriously wrong with this installation process.

SOLVED by Sonarworks technical support, that the answer they gave to me and it worked well:

"It appears Sonarworks may not be added to Login Items. Can you check the following? 

Is "Sonarworks SIA" item present and turned on in System Settings -> General -> Login Items -> Allow in the Background?

If it doesn't work, try launching the license service manually from here: 
 
/Library/Application Support/Sonarworks/Licensing

this is Dec 25th 2024 and I have the same issue and maybe worst. I did all that everybody said and the results are: Trial not available, the trial has been used…

no even once. So is keeps asking for a login that ends up on nothing. the same message. Is there a real solution to try this and be sure I want this first before investing my money?

Perpetual licence won't activate, just loops back to Retry and goes unresponsive, W10.

2-15-2025-  Like so many others, I have a Windows 11 Laptop that is set up for gaming so it is pretty fast! But, I am having issues with getting the licensing to work. Unfortunately, it seems  as if this might be an issue that the vendor seems not too interested in fixing since it has been a while and there has still not been much of an improvement or fix to this problem!

And, like several others, I am not going to pay my money for a perpetual license even though I would want to if I'm going to have this much trouble! It's really too bad because it seems like a really good plug-in and it's going to motivate me to go look for the identical thing someplace else ! So good luck to everybody else who tries to get this thing figured out but I think I'm most likely going to be going somewhere else cause I am not in mood and I do not have the bandwidth to mess with this very long.

Thank you for posting here and my apologies for the delayed response from our end. This has been a known issue that is being addressed with a high priority. We have released improvements in the last two releases and are working hard on a release a version that should fix this completely. Please update to the latest version and follow the steps here to make it work in case you’re still unable to activate SoundID VoiceAI:
