How to clear the SoundID Reference configuration data to resolve various issues, or to reset the software to its default settings.
In this article:
Clearing the standalone app configuration
The config file stores all settings and other data made over time by the user. Sometimes the config file can become corrupt, resulting in various errors like 'Preset Switch Failed' messages, crashes, app not launching, etc. Clearing the configuration data could help to resolve the issue.
Note that there are two separate config files present in two separate directories: the main file, and the backup file. Follow the instructions below.
Note: Deleting the config files will result in the deletion of stored settings only. Speaker profiles will not be deleted - the .swproj calibration files in the Sonarworks Projects folder will remain intact.
