Allow Installation of Plugin Only

Thanks for your post! Apologies for the belated attention to it from our side!

Thank you for this feedback, I have taken note of it for our team! At the moment, when you're installing SoundID Reference, you will be required to install the systemwide app as well. This is required for license activation and other basic functionality tied to the standalone app as the core module of the software.

 You can consider uninstalling the systemwide app once you've activated the software and continue using the plugin. When installing a new software update, the standalone app will have to be installed again, though.

Hi guys, this request is 2 years old now...

I am still having to jump through hoops to disable systemwide after every update / installation. I actually wrote a script that does everything I need but it really should not be required:

net stop "Sonarworks Driver Interface"
sc config "Sonarworks Driver Interface" start= disabled
net stop "SonarworksAPOConfigService"
sc config "SonarworksAPOConfigService" start= disabled
net stop "SonarworksWDMDriverService"
sc config "SonarworksWDMDriverService" start= disabled
wmic path Win32_PnPEntity where "name='SoundID Reference Virtual Audio Device'" call disable
pause

Please can you consider this.

I'm afraid the SoundID Reference standalone cannot be unselected during the installation process. The activation and the license verification process still occurs via the standalone app, thus it would be required to have it installed as well, otherwise, the plugins and the Measure app (if being used) would not be able to validate the license status.
