Wavelab Pro 13 is causing Windows Systemwide Sound ID reference to stop working

0

Hi,

I use Sonarworks SoundID reference plugin in Wavelab13 Pro on WIndows 11. It allows me to switch between monitor profiles using Speaker Configurations and works fine.  My SoundID reference is fully up to date.

However when I quit Wavelab it ‘disables’ SoundID reference systemwide - eg WIndows won't play any media file. I have to manually go into Sound ID reference and click ‘restart Playback Engine’ - then Sound ID works fine again:

The guys at Wavelab think it's a a SoundID reference problem - but this only occours when I use Wavelab/ I don;t have this problem with using eg Cubase 15 pro.

Any thioughts?

I have got a maybe related problem: I upgraded to wavelab 13 pro yesterday. Normally I do not start SoundID reference, because I have uploaded the correction file directly into ADAM Audio speakers. Unwanted, whenever I start wavelab 13 pro SoundID reference is also started. I do not want to start it but cannot find any setting to turn this behavior off. No useful sugguestions from M365 KI. SoundID is nowwhere set as plug in in Wavelab and it start already when the start screen of wavelab is coming up. So it must be something with wavelab because it only happens there (e.g. not, when starting cubase with the same driver settings (for UR44C).

Hi - I opened a ticket wiith Sonar works and shared their thoughts back in the Wave lab Forum which then prompted the Developer to come up with the Solution.

I needed to ‘hide the Audio Driver panel in the Satup Assistant Window’
