So sorry to learn that you are encountering this issue! I do see that our team has been in contact with you regarding this problem and, hopefully, we can have this resolved in the near updates.
Hi guys, this is still happening with the latest version of Reference and Wavelab.
It is so easy to reproduce I am puzzled that it has not been addressed yet.
Just load the plugin and click the button pointed out.

Hi there, although this issue still exists with VST2 version, I am pleased to report that the issue does not happen with the VST3 version of the plugin. :-)
Very happy to hear that, at least there is now a stable alternative!
