The growth in the number of Linux users is inevitable. The only thing stopping some people from making the switch is the lack of compatible software for various tasks. But that will change. I hope Sonarworks doesn't take too long.

Recently, I’ve been looking into audio VST, VST3 and AU hosting software. I’ve read a bit about it on Gearspace.
Even on a Mac, APIs can sometimes have an impact.

A customised real-time Linux kernel with the right APIs and libraries would be a hit… if only all the pro audio software available on Mac and Windows would run on it.


In addition to SoundID, I use fabfilter Pro-4 for Oratory1990 OPRA headphone EQ, Neumann RIME for NDH 30, etc.


Unfortunately, Oratory1990 OPRA headphone EQs cannot be imported into SoundID.
