So here's the situation: Let's say im watching a youtube tutorial while keeping my project inside my DAW opened. I want it so that the calibration works on the DAW and the 'rest of the system separately', because while using it systemwide, there is always latency (7-8ms for WASAPI and APO, 40-160ms using WASAPI and Virtual Windows Audio driver, and 40-100ms using Virtual Windows Audio to ASIO) introduced, while using it with a DAW (either as a plugin or using SoundID as audio output inside the DAW) there is no latency.
Now I want it so that i don't have to shuttle back and forth in the audio output presets while shifting from youtube to DAW. Sonarworks have specifically stated tht dounle calibration shouldn't be applied.
Should i use WASAPI-APO for systemwide and ASIO for DAW-work only? This way the ASIO works separately from the WASAPI and there is no need to switch back and forth. Sonarworks states that the plugin version ignores the system-wide effect. I want to know whether the same happens while using SoundID as output within the DAW. If that is the case then I can use WASAPI-APO as the default output preset in the app while keeping the SoundID-ASIO audio output in the DAW.
Also in the sonarworks website that using WASAPI-APO can cause conflict with other APO drivers and it maybe incompatible with other device drivers....can someone explain this to me? I don't understand how it may affect me.
Thank you
