Android app does not work

I have been trying to use the SoundID equalizer on my OnePlus 11R mobile phone for over one and a half years now. I download it every 3 months or so hoping something has changed and then I am forced to uninstall it because it simply does NOT work.

1) The moment I switch on Sound ID (while I am listening to music), the sound improves drastically for about a second or two, and then mutes itself down to ordinary.

3) Despite some changes over time, the interface to switch on and then activate a profile is not smooth or intuitive. One has to toggle it and rely on one's ears to figure out if it is enabled or not. Why can't I click on a profile to activate it instead of having to click to select it, and then click once again to activate it?

2) The custom equalizer settings simply DO NOT work. I can make that flat blue line dance all over, but there is never an iota of difference in the sound.

Yet, I dutifully download it every 3 months or after a big Android system upgrade in the fond hope that something changes.

I would love to have a conversation with someone who is human and understands what I am talking about. I surely can't be the only person facing these problems.

vinieux Please make sure you're using the SoundID app on a compatible device. The SoundID app supports Android 14 or earlier. Check your app settings to ensure that the SoundID app is not affected by an optimization.  We recommend either removing the SoundID app from the optimization list or creating a rule that this app is not affected by the optimization process. Depending on the device in use, the optimization setting can be a battery optimization feature or an optimization application. Should you still experience an issue, please contact our support team

IMHO, I think Sonarworks should ensure that popular devices are compatible, if not clearly put up a list of incompatible devices. The OnePlus is certainly not some obscure or niche phone that it has to be incompatible. Also, other apps that rely on disabling certain phone settings pop up an alert when starting and help you disable whatever setting might affect the working of those apps. I get no such alert from SoundID. It simply refuses to work. Reviews of your app too include several negative comments stating it does not work. So I don't think you can point at my phone when its your app that seems to have the issue.
