Huge quality difference between SoundID Voice AI's Perpetual vs. Pay-as-you-go versions?

1

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to the community because I'm quite confused and frustrated. I recently purchased the perpetual license for SoundID Voice AI after using the "pay-as-you-go" demo and being incredibly impressed with the results.

However, the results I'm getting from the permanent version are drastically different and of much lower quality. I've double-checked my input settings to be sure, and the disparity in results is undeniable.

Specifically, the vocal processing in the Verse sections is very different. The perpetual version handles sibilance and breath sounds far less effectively, producing a significantly less polished output.

I am aware that the perpetual version uses local processing while the pay-as-you-go version uses cloud processing. Could this be the reason for the huge difference in quality?

If the two versions truly produce such different results due to their processing methods, I am frankly shocked that this was not clearly communicated. Had the demo reflected the quality of the perpetual version, I would not have purchased it.

Has anyone else experienced this? If anyone has tried to contact the developers (Sonarworks) about this issue, could you please let me know how you did it?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.
