Deleting VoiceID plugin from a track crashes Ableton

If I use the plugin for a while it can get a bit stuck so I try and delete the plugin from the Ableton track and every time I do that  it crashes Ableton. 

I have to recover the session and disable the plugin as I can’t then remove it from that song.

I tried to recreate this by moving the plugin between multiple tracks but it didn’t fail when I used small clips. I think it’s because I was processing a whole song.

At first I though it was a clash of plugins so I did the same process in a new song with no other plugins. Same crash.
Same test on a new song (with no other plugins) was fine for short clips.

Alex Aitken can you double-check with the latest 2.1.7 update?

  1. Remove the existing VoiceAI plugin instances from DAW
  2. Uninstall VoiceAI, and remove the leftover files and folders as shown here: 
  3. Reboot your computer
  4. Reinstall the latest version, download here
