I would like to calibrate my speakers on a PC with Windows 10 Pro and SoundID Reference 5.12.2.1.
I have connected the XREF microphone to the Steinberg UR22MKII interface and the speakers are also supplied with it.
Via “Add new output” I get a selection for WASAPI type from which I have selected “Line (2-Steinberg UR22mkII)”. I have tried both "APO" and “Virtual Windows audio driver” as drivers with the same result. Both deliver a reproduction of the test signal.
The measure procedure takes me to “Assign the output channels for your setup”. Under “Audio Interface” I only find “Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver” and as selection of the speakers I only find “Dell S2722QC (NVIDIA High De1” and “Dell S2722QC (NVIDIA High De2”. I can't hear anything during the test.
Why is the Steinberg interface and also the audio output via the mainboard not offered as a selection?
