Hello together,
I have big issues to install and use SoundID Voice AI on my Windows 11 machine.
First I bought it on Plugin-Boutique and installed the version available there for download (which was some 1.x version). This worked and after a restart I could start using it properly.
Then I got the info that a new version is available (2.x) which I then installed. After that, when trying to open the plugin in any DAW (Ableton, Bitwig and Cubase) I got the error, that it can't access the license manager.
Now comes the really weirdest thing ever. Then I removed the application via Windows Removal Tool and and performed a restart. During starting my PC (NVME 2TB SSD), I run into a bluescreen of death (Cause: Stopcode: Inaccessible Bootdevice). My boot sector got obviously destroyed by the installation/deinstallation of the Sonarworks Voice AI package and with the auto-repair functionality of Windows I was able to recover it, but one time it set all my files back to a couple of days before, so I lost information due to this. First I thought it might be something else, but I could reproduce it three times, always after removing the SoundID Voice AI.
Then I followed the advice from this forum, to uninstall it again and also remove the local folder which was created.
A new restart was performed again, where I run into the bluescreen again and since then now, I can't even install the Ver.2.x anymore. No I get the following error: See Screenshot.

Even when the installer said, that it didn't do anything to the PC after I received this error-message, I ran into the bluescreen once again, after I restarted the PC after getting this message.
I need support urgently.
Thanks Paddy

Thanks for posting Paddy Freethinker!
This issue has been reported by at least one other user (probably more), and it is currently under investigation. I have created a support request on your behalf to have a closer look (we will get back to you in the direct thread).
In the meantime, can you confirm you are using the default install path (and if not, can you try the default install path, please?)?
Thanks for the feedback and yes I installed it in the default path. I don't want to make test-installs again, because I see some risks that my PC is not able to recover then my bootsector. So I will wait until you guys have figured out a solution.
As a side information:
In the meantime I did install it without any issues on my Laptop machine.
Because I had already very big issues with installing some versions of SoundID Reference, I still think that I'm running into those weird issues, because I have upgraded my Windows 10 to Windows 11 versions a long time ago. Means, even when I performed a HW upgrade I cloned always my Windows system drive to the new HW. So I think the original installation of Windows dates back to <2020. Reinstalling everything is no option for me because I need also my programs and would took more than a week to install everything again. I would only do it on a complete new HW system, which at the moment I can't afford.
Kind Regards
Paddy
Fair enough Paddy Freethinker, thanks for checking in on this! We will let you know once a fix is available for the issue.
