Hi all,
On April 10, 2025, the SoundID VoiceAI 2.1 software update was released (v2.1.1.6536, download here, full release notes here).
Several bug fixes and improvements have been implemented in quick succession with updates over the past couple of months (including a brand new activation flow via the SoundID Download Manager app), and now it's time for a brand new feature: Unison Mode.

The Unison Mode is an AI-powered double-tracking feature in SoundID VoiceAI Perpetual Mode that allows users to create natural-sounding double tracks from a single vocal track. Watch a quick demo here, featuring Anatolijs Širjajevs from the SoundID VoiceAI Product Team: https://youtu.be/qUJDIhj7lAw
What can you do with Unison Mode?
- Create natural-sounding double tracks from a single vocal source (up to eight voices per plugin instance).
- Adjust Pitch Variance to introduce subtle differences between voices for a more realistic layered effect.
- Control Timing Variance between voices to create a more natural feel.
- Control Width to spread vocals across the stereo field or keep them centered.
Note: Unison Mode features are available in Perpetual license mode only (offline processing). Learn more in this article: Unison Mode in SoundID VoiceAI
Important to know
- Unison Mode is a free update for the Perpetual license owners (click on the ‘Update available' link in the plugin). Timing Variance and Width are Real-Time Controls, while the Number Of Voices and Pitch Variety are Offline Controls and will require reprocessing after adjustments are made.
- Processing time will depend on the number of voices added.
- The plugin can now be loaded as mono/stereo in DAW. If the Mono version is loade the Width knob will be disabled, and the plugin output will remain mono. You might need to relaoda new plugin instance in your project(s) after the update
- The Real-Time Control section is hidden by default and will dynamically appear when the Voices knob is set to more than one.
Although v2.1 has been one of the most thoroughly tested versions in the SoundID VoiceAI release history, please let us know if you see any bugs or other odd behavior. Otherwise, we hope you enjoy the new feature and find it useful. Let us know what you think, many thanks!

Can't process in Ableton Live 10. Just crashes whenever you try to process anything.
Hi Kārlis Stenders,
Just a quick feedback from me.
I was able to test the new version a bit today. On my system, Windows 10, Cubase 14 Pro (everything up to date), this version has been running very stable so far, and all functions work without issues. The Unison mode is an excellent idea and works very well here. Pitch, number of voices, and stereo field also work flawlessly. The same goes for real-time processing.
In that respect, it's a very good and useful update, as it eliminates the need for manual duplication and offsetting, thus saving time. Very nice.
One thing, however, still bothers me massively. I mentioned this shortly after the plug-in's release: the issue of cache files. It would be nice if you could finally move the cache files from drive C to another drive. That means you could specify a path in the plug-in where the cache files should be saved. And a function to give these files a name. I'm still missing that.
Or does this feature already exist and I haven't seen it?
Joe Montaro this is after updating to the latest 2.1 version? Before we proceed with anything else, can you please try a fully clean reinstall? Uninstall first, and remove all leftover files and older s as shown here: [WIN] How to uninstall SoundID VoiceAI. I have created a support request thread on your behalf to look into this directly too.
Joerg Scheuer glad to hear that, thanks for the feedback! Common Assets can now be installed in a custom path - this is the locally stored preset location for offline processing, which adds up to some 4-5 GB. We are also working on making the cache folder location customizable, but that is not available yet (it will probably take a couple of months to release that in an update).
Kārlis Stenders ,
thx for your feedback.
