SoundID stuck in "APO server is not running"

3

for some  reason my SoundID Reference did not work, i closed it and when starting it up again i got presented with an error message saying

“APO server is not running”

i do not use APO, and i can't use this message's “Dismiss” button (it doesn't work at all)

no i am stuck with this message and am not able to switch everything back to my normal (non-APO) mode

thus i can no longer use this product

restarting or using taskmanager has no effect

I am experiencing the same thing. The window won't close if I click “dismiss,” so I can't change the settings back. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times, restarted, deleted files… It refuses to let me change anything. I paid very good money to use this software and now I can't listen to anything on my computer.

I am having this problem too, what is the solution?

Deleting everything out of %appdata%\Local\Sonarworks\SoundID Reference\, except for the user.json and license.json files resolved this issue for me. Had to re-create presets.

Thank you.  I had to manually uninstall the driver in cmd as well but together that worked  https://support.sonarworks.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404691725074--WIN-APO-can-t-be-applied-error#01H7CTQKYPFFA9BCR3N75XC0F8

To be clear I needed to do both, just in case someone has an issue where one or the other doesn't work alone like I did.
