VoiceAI microphone type question

I got a kinda weird question about the VoiceAI plugin: does the modified voice keep the quality of whatever mic you use for the original recording? Or is there some “default mic” that's used to “record” the new voice? And if it's a default mic, what mic is it (U87, SM57, whatever)?
