I recently purchased the Apollo AdOn for my Sound ID license. After a few weeks I must say that I am really disappointed. To the point that I am Back to using the plugin.
Running the Sound ID plugin on my Mac or applying it to the Apollo does not bring the same results!!!
The sound is not the same and I noticed some problems in the low register causing my Focal Trio 6 to “fart” with some bass frequencies I did not try to find as I didn’t want to ruin my speakers.
Any explanation? Does anyone notice the same issue?

I have the same experience. However, when using headphones, the UAD integration transfers better to the sound on my final mixes/masters than the Sound Reference Daw Plugin does. I stopped using the sound ID as plugin before integrating with UAD since I could not trust my ears. Instead, I relied on Pro Q3, calibrated to the Harman curve, along with the CanOpener Studio plugin. Sorry to say, this combination continues to be my top choice for mixing with headphones. https://youtu.be/ay8Hfrlys_A?si=bk4NuIb1csxPzfkp
I Heard about this Harman curve, but what about the room ? The speakers ?
I prefer to trust or better say have a personalized curve based on SoundID or any other system working with actual measurements.
Just a bit strange that, at least for me and you, the integration in console does not sound the same.
Wrote to UAD about that and they answered I might have a double correction in DAW and UAD device … they might thing I am really stupid because if that could happens by mistake I tripled checked all my settings before writing to them.…
