Hello!
I've been using Reference 4 on Monterey with an Intel Mac Pro, and am now trying to setup either Reference4 or upgrade to SoundID if needed on my new Mac Studio on Sonoma.
The Reference4 plugin instantiates on the new Sonoma machine but my old profile has no curves when engaged.
So I've tried to use the Measure app to re-shoot the room in both Reference4 Measure and SoundID Measure and in both cases, I can't get the outputs test playback routed to my speakers.
I'm using HDX input 4 for my microphone and HDX outputs 3 & 4 for my speakers. On both measure apps I get no sound on output. Both measure apps seem a bit dodgy on the input side too.
Might be worth noting that when ProTools is open, my converters clock and I have tested sound both in and out on HDX 3 for in and HDX 3 & 4 out. When PT is open, the I/O on Measure is only audio bridge. But when PT is closed, HDX becomes available on Measure but when PT is closed my converters are not locked to anything and look non function with PT is closed.
Should I be having ProTools open so my converters are getting a 44.1k message, and using Audio Bridge with Measure? I've never used Audio Bridge and am not sure how to set that up. Or if I should even be using it. Is direct HDX with Measure preferred?
EDIT/UPDATE: I used Aux I/O and it worked. Hope that is okay and a somewhat standard way of doing it? Seemed to be fine. Let me know if Aux I/O is to be avoided?
Thank you!
-Bryan.
