It would be very much appreciated if every time you have an update, you don't delete my settings for my studio speakers. Every time I have to start all over. This vastly negates the need or desire to use your product. Please figure out how to retain settings for customers when you provide an update. Tired of losing things and starting over….

Yes, I agree 100%. It is irritating and time consuming to have to re-enter one's settings when updating the product. A mature piece of software should be able to migrate settings if necessary, or read the old settings.
Leonard Manzara Jason Orefice thanks for posting and commenting, and sorry for the update hiccups!
Can you clarify if it is just the settings configuration that has disappeared after the update (preset config, etc.), but not the actual speaker profiles? In other words, are your .swproj speaker files still present in the Sonarworks Projects folder as shown here: Where can I find my speaker profile?
Hi Karlis,
The speaker profiles are still present, so that's not the problem. It is the presets that have to be rebuilt. This last time my presets were present but not functioning, so I had to delete them and then rebuild them.
I've had to rebuild my presets several times in the past when upgrading the software to a new version, and in one case I lost just my MIDI trigger presets, and had to re-enter them. The loss of presets seems to be a persistent problem in the upgrading process.
I just wanted to update this thread. I just upgraded SoundID Reference to version 5.12.1 (build 8) and this version DID recognize my old presets, and did keep the MIDI triggers I had set previously. Hopefully this bug has finally been squashed!
