What to think

Hey there!

New to SoundID.

Tried the free trial of SoundID in my studio. Didn’t have a measuring mic so started up by doing the calibration with a standard (but good quality) condenser mic.
I was blown away with the result. Both for my NS-10 and Eve 307. Much much better listening experience. The bottom firm and controlled and highs very sweet and mids with the punch I like.

So… I then today tried doing another calibration for both sets of speakers with the Behringer ECM 8000. I was very accurate with the calibration and loaded in the mics calibration file.

The two new presets of calibration is of course much different than the first I did with the “normal” mic. And.. I actually like the first ones better.

These new presets has much less highs and the mids is a bit harsh. I test with the same songs (James Taylor of course 😁)

So my question is. What to go with? I love the first set of presets done with regular mic, but is it perhaps a “false” Security? Or is the second set of presets crap because I used the Behringer mic?  Anyone did a comparison with the Sonarworks mic?

Thank you so much 🤗

Best regards

Peter
