Hi,
I use SoundID reference in every DAW project on the master channel. Problem: I change speakers, audio interface and studio from time to time for which I do a re-measurement. Then, when I open up old projects in my DAW, i have to go through the process of reselecting the new profile (output device + preset) that I am using. And I have to do that for every old project, which is a bit annoying.
It would be cool if the VST3 plugin would have a feature in which it is able to select a ‘global’ profile (which can be manually set) or the ability to use the same preset as the systemwide application. This way, in every DAW project I open, the same global preset is always used.
A workaround that I use now is to not use the VST plugin in my DAW, but to select the soundID reference as the audio output in my DAW. This way I can globally manage which preset is being used. However, this has 2 downsides. The first is the latency which it introduces, so playing instruments creates lag. Secondly, in my DAW i cannot use the output channels of my audio interface anymore, since SoundID reference is selected as the audio output device. Therefore, this is not an optimal workaround
Many thanks!
Misha
