Voice AI crashes Win10 PC while ~70% done processing captured audio

After being duly impressed using the trial version of Voice Ai, I bought a perpetual license and used DAW plugin to assign a different vocalist on a couple of songs without issue.  I was pretty excited about this software.  I am using Cakewalk as my DAW.

Now after capturing different audio clips (short or long), the software causes my PC to crash/reboot.  Captured audio is still there but processing audio will not finish.  It always causes crash/restart in the 70% done range.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

I opened a ticket on this.  I installed Voice AI on a different Win10 PC running Cakewalk DAW. The issue I have on that machine is while playing audio to capture, the DAW plugin acts as if I've not started playing a clip of audio.  It just does nothing (not counting seconds of capture or anything).  I hit the space bar to stop playing the audio clip and the plugin resets to ready to capture state.

Anyone else having issues like this?  On my first machine is was working great for a couple of complete songs…multiple tracks of singers.

Thanks in advance…

Marc Keefer thanks for posting, sorry to hear you're getting stuck here!

I see you have a support ticket open too - we will investigate and share the results back here, once resolved. It does sound like the PC shutdown might be related to the CPU-based local processing in the Perpetual mode.

Marc Keefer can you confirm this is no longer a problem in the latest 2.0.9 update (download here)?

Hi Karlis.  I ultimately upgraded to a Win11 machine and no longer experience the issue.
