SoundID system wide much quieter than DAW plugin version

Despite them being on the same settings, the system wide version is much (much) quieter than the plugin version on my machine. I haven't metered it but it feels around 15 db quieter and too low to really use. Is this normal?

I'm on a Mac Studio running 14.6 and I'm on the latest SoundID stand alone version (5.12.0.50)

Here is a comparison screenshot. The on the left is running in my DAW, the other is the system wide version. Despite very similar setting, the DAW version results in dramatically louder playback. I've made certain that they're not enabled at the same time. To avoid possible conflict or overlap, I've tried both letting the system wide version self disable when the DAW version is on, as well as quitting it entirely and making sure my DAW is outputting to my audio interface.

Amos Roddy thanks for posting!

Difficult to tell, are you sure the DAW project itself is not outputting a higher level signal?

Can you also check if the macOS volume for SoundID Reference is maxed out, and also if the ‘Adujst output device gain’ setting is enabled? It might be related to the issue described here: [MAC] Low volume in the SoundID Reference standalone app.

Thank you for the quick reply Kārlis. I feel like a moron, the macOS volume wasn't maxed out. Sorry for wasting your time but I appreciate you helping me realize the obvious :P
