Started out happy, now not so much…

I started out with just the SoundIDReference headphone profiler, and wow! I was impressed. It made my AKG headphones sound like a million bucks. I think it really had a positive impact on my mixes when placed on my master channel.

I was so impressed that I also purchased the room profiler package. It even made my oddly shaped studio sound significantly better.

But then one day SoundIDReference stopped notifying me it was engaged on the master channel when I rendered my tracks, consolidated, freezed, or flattened clips, etc. So this meant that I was compelled to remember to turn the plug-in off every time I rendered audio. For me, having to remember to turn it off numerous times per session was a deal breaker.

I submitted a ticket and the support tech basically blamed it on Ableton Live 12, and he gave me no idea when or if this would be fixed. There is a clunky workaround using a monitor channel, which is also unacceptable and not what I paid for.

I asked for a refund which the support tech ignored, and I recently asked for a status update on the ticket, which was also ignored.

So I stopped using it because it was totally destroying my workflow. If this product is no longer compatible with Ableton Live, I would like a refund. How do I officially apply for one?

Thank you.

Hello Tom,

Thank you for reaching out!

For some particular DAWs, the function is not available due to the limitations of the software itself. Some DAWs do allow such a third-party popup and some others don't. If you have enabled the render bypass warning within the preferences, then it could be a matter of Ableton 12.

Please note, that for a refund there is a policy that would allow a no-questions-asked refund within 14 days of the original purchase.

To clarify, we are still planning to update the render-bypass notification and implement it for Ableton 12 too, if possible.
