Hi, so I originally got SoundID reference in 2022, I made a calibration and have been running it with that since despite the error in the original calibration, I didn't think too much of it since the overall correction was far better/closer than the before hand but now in my mixes I feel like I am having some trouble with my highs and this dip in the spectrum may be the culprit. I remedied this by adding an EQ afterwards to kind of band aid it but I'm not even sure if it's working or better than me just getting to the bottom of the problem directly so I did the test again I tried a few months ago but I kept getting issues with the calibration levels "high level input detected" or the sound not being picked up correctly when calibrating the speakers seperately at the start. This time I just skipped past when it gave the option to as I tried a good few times with the initial test (The very first level calibration tells you to put the volume output of the speakers at normal speech level but when it comes to calibrating the levels, the mic is either too quiet or the speakers are too loud, something is off? tried all the level adjustments and I am using the soundworks reference mic)
So I ran the test again today and came up with a similar reading, the dip in the highs of the new one is slightly smaller but it pretty much the same problem remains and when aI try to use the custom target EQ it does nothing... and then on top of that, the frequency it says the dip is at according to SoundID is at 10khz but when I run my spectrum analyzer after soundID reference with some pink noise, I see that the dip appears to be at 8khz...
So to that end, why isn't Soundworks fixing the dip and is the EQ after simply the best way to go about it and I should aim to get the analzyer to show me as flat (sloped) a curve as possible?
Also what is stange is when toying with the calibration setting in SoundID reference and moving it from 'normal' to reduced or no boost it makes the dip even worse.
Just to clarify, in the pictures the dip is the highly visible dip around 10khz
