Neumann MT48 Export

Currently, it is not possible to export the calibration profiles to devices that SoundID Reference doesn't have a direct integration with. See our integration partners here.

Thus I'm afraid it isn't possible to export a compatible profile for the Neumann MT48 device, sorry about that. I will take note of your feedback regarding this, though, as we continue expanding the integration partners list.

Yes please.. We need an intergration for Sonarworks for the MT48!! It sucks too much CPU in our DAW!! Please let us know if you are working it, would be a big gamechanger since it's also atmos compatible now.

+1 on this…the Audient soundcard that is the predecessor to the MT48 is supported, so hopefully its easy to port?

Excuse me I meant the merging technologies + anubis. The latency of systemwide is a problem for me needing to switch back and forth it takes ages in logic

Samuel Trevethick sure, MT48 is based on the Anubis, but the hardware is not exactly the same. 

But more importantly, it is not that much about technical compatibility as it is about establishing an integration partnership with the given manufacturer/company. As of now, we don't have any such partnership established to integrate this device.

Does Sennheiser own sonarworks? 

Sennheiser merged with Merging Technology around 6 July 2022 and Neumann was acquired by Sennheiser Electronic GmbH in 1991 (!).

I am unaware of them having any ownership in/with Sonarworks

I second adding the mt48 to the available devices.

I would also love an integration to be possible, or at the very least, some way of exporting a simplified speaker / room measurement to use with the MT48's bus EQ option!

Hi Sonarworks team — adding another +1 here as a new SoundID customer.

I bought SoundID specifically because I’m trying to standardize on one calibrated monitoring reference across everything I do. My Neumann MT48 is my Mac’s output device all day (Logic, reference listening, practice). Only after purchasing did I realize there’s no way to export a SoundID profile to the MT48, because exports only work for hardware with a direct integration/partner support. 

I understand the current answer is “no integration / no partnership yet,” but I want to be blunt about the impact: for people like me, this is close to a deal-breaker. I’m trying to avoid extra software layers and switching states, and I want the calibration to live at the interface level the way it does on supported hardware. 

MT48 feels like a particularly strong candidate:

• It’s a monitoring-first interface and already has onboard DSP features people rely on in real workflows.
• It’s often discussed in the same orbit as Merging/Anubis (which SoundID already supports), so from a user perspective this looks like a very natural next step.

If full integration is not feasible right now, I’d still love to see any practical path forward (even a “simplified export” option that targets the MT48’s EQ capabilities, clearly labeled as an approximation).

Could you share whether MT48 integration is truly off the roadmap, or if it’s “not planned for now”? And if it’s blocked by partnership requirements, is there anything the user base can do to help push this along (e.g., contacting Neumann, registering interest, beta testing)?
