Hey there,
I've always used Sonarworks Reference/SoundID as my Input whenever I do a screen recording. That way I can capture the internal sound coming from my computer.
I just updated to SoundID 7.5.3 and that feature seems to be gone now which is a shame because it was VERY useful. I tried chatting with the support line, but they just told me they would not advise me to use SoundID in that way.
So I want to downgrade my SoundID to the last official version, but I can only select the previous beta or a very old version.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here? :)

Hi, thanks for this post!
Yes, you are correct - this option is no longer available with the 5.7.3. update of SoundID Reference, sorry about that. Thank you for letting us know this is something that you were using previously!
As already linked in a comment above, you can consider reverting back to an older version following the steps here: Current software issues - how to revert back to a previous version
this might help

Hello,
I am also reaching out for the same reason. I found the ability to select SoundID Reference as an input on my Mac to be very useful and removing it is a shame. I will be using an older version but am wondering if this could be added back in in a future update?
Thanks
Yeah, I would love for that feature to come back as well. I used it all the time.
Also, reverting back to the previous version of SoundID is giving me an error.
Me too, i’m not gonna update until it does.
Don’t remove features, add functionality instead - seems like a much more customer centered design philosophy.
Plz confirm that you will be adding it or provide a reasonable explanation for downgrading the user experiemce.
Thank you very much.
I have been searching for an answer on this all evening. I spent 2+ hours recording videos and screen captures the other night, but they were ruined because SoundID was removed as an input source for QuickTime. PLEASE bring this back ASAP! I'm going to try to downgrade my version in the meantime.
