SoundID and mac M1

Hi everyone,

Jesus .. where to start ? SoundID on M1 macs is an absolute mess. Since I switched to a mac studio I've been having constant issues with the systemwide soundID including the following 

- SoundID do not launch (sometimes ...)
-SoundID is stuttering
- SoundID crashes for no reason
- SoundID stops receiving audio for no reason 
- Systemwide Latency gradually increases over time (I had up to 400ms yesterday !!!)

Of course, both these issues have been happening in Rosetta and Silicon modes, so it seems there's a very real compatibility issue with ARM at the moment. Are you guys aware of these issues ? Is this being worked on ?

    Hi, thanks for your post, my apologies for the belated attention to it.

    I am sorry to hear you are encountering these issues. We are working on improvements for the macOS driver which hopefully will address the issues you have mentioned as well. 
    Some of the issues you have mentioned sound similar to issues reported to and investigated by our team, I can recommend taking a look at our support guides for some additional information and/or fixes/workarounds:
    No sound or distorted output after computer sleep [MAC]
    Climbing latency with occasional audio dropouts [MAC] 
    SoundID Reference app not launching on computer startup [MAC] 

    I will create a support ticket on your behalf regarding the problems you noted to gather some additional details.

    been having the same issues since upgrading from ref 4 to sound id :( only upgraded to get m1 support and its been a real workflow killer ever since

    We're half a year later and this issue still exists! It's now even more worse! The SoundID reference app doesn't work anymore! (M1 SoundID ref ver: 5.7.2.8) I've tried everything, but nothing seems to work. When i select a preset say: headphone, nothing happens. It asks for "add output first". This is getting annoying..

    Same boat here. I have to restarted SoundID every time I want to use it or audio will either be distorted, or no curve applied. Total BS to pay for the upgrade from Sonarworks 4, only to have the exact same issues with SoundID.
