Plugin causes massive disk writes

The plugin is causing a crazy amount of disk writes to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Sonarworks\SoundID Reference\Plugin\cfg.json This is occuring in cubase and reaper. Its easy to see in sys internals process monitor. Its so bad that it causes cubase to crash ocassionally and skip audio, etc even running on an SSD.

Support doesn't seem to take this particularly seriously so far. The only work around I've found is to remove the plugin and re-add it back without opening the plugin interface. As soon as the interface is opened the excessive writes to the json file start again.

Anybody have any ideas?

This is on windows 10 using the VST version.
