Measurement for far away listening position

I'm trying to use Reference 4 for playing music from my Mac to my living room stereo. There my speakers are about 2m apart and my listening position is at >3m. In other words, far from optimal by monitoring standards.

I've tried to measure this setup, but it didn't seem to work. The measurement process pulls me close to the speakers, far from my actual listening position.

Maybe I did something wrong and just need to try again. However, it would be helpful to know whether this is even supposed to work.
