    Hi Gunnar, thanks for the post and apologies for the lag in moderation time here!

     

    For anyone who's wondering, Gunnars issue was resolved in a support ticket, it had to do with allowing the installation to take place in Preferences > Security and Privacy (it was a permissions-related issue, essentially). It's been a while since then and we have released our own v4.4.7.34 Beta with actual Big Sur compatibility on our side. Theoretically, it should also resolve a lot of permissions-related issues in general due to the changes in the Systemwide app driver format (currently monitoring the Beta testing results). 

     

    I should mention though that we can NOT recommend or encourage the use of a Hackintosh machine, and obviously, we cannot support Reference working on such machines (issues are expected with no resolution to them).     Hi Karlis,

    I seem to have the same problem ons startup, I also have a Hackintosh on Catalina. Could you explain what was the problem / fix concerning Preferences > Security & Privacy ?

    The issue was resolved in a support ticket, but for anyone else wondering about the Security & Privacy issue, the installation is sometimes being blocked by macOS.

     

    To resolve this installation issue, go to Preferences > Security & Privacy > General and check if Sonarworks installer isn't being blocked by the system. If Sonarworks shows up there as being blocked, click on the Allow button in order for the installer to proceed. If the Allow button is not available (grayed out), click on the Lock icon and enter your password to make changes:
