I have noticed a tendency for system wide to go into the red on the input indicators, with it’s overload indicators turning on. I hear no distortion from this, so wonder if it is a bug? My computer is set up all digital, so there is no analogue conversion before sys wide. I can lower the output of iTunes a bit to stop the red input indication, but I don’t understand why anything should be in the red from iTunes as nothing in iTunes should be allowed to go over digital zero? Also sound enhancer is off in my iTunes.
Why do I see professional iTunes mixes go into the red on input?
