    Hey Peter,

If the calibration files haven't been deleted you should be able to find them in the Sonarworks Project directory. See how to access it in this article: Where can I find my speaker profile?

    HI.

How can I delete an obsolete calibration file? I changed up my studio and it would be nice to just delete the old file to avoid confusion.

Where is the file on a Mac OS?

    Thanks.

    Hey Bill,

You should be able to simply delete the file from one of the following directories:

    • Windows: C:/Users//AppData/Local/Sonarworks/Reference 4/Sonarworks Projects
    • macOS: /Macintosh HD/Users/Username/Library/Sonarworks/Reference 4/Sonarworks Projects

    Chris,

Is the Mac location different in Big Sur? I can't find it using the path above.

    Thanks, Ken Isenberg

    Hey Ken,

The directories should remain the same with Big Sur. It is possible that the folder is hidden by default on your machine. Follow these steps to access the files:

    1. Open Macintosh HD or the folder where you want to display the hidden files in the Finder
    2. Enter this key command: Cmd + Shift + "." (dot)
    3. The hidden files and folders on your Mac will then appear partially transparent

I can easily find calibration files, however I cannot find where Systemwide presets are stored...

For Reference 4, the preset data is stored in the Systemwidecfg.db file in the locations shown below.

This data cannot be transferred between different computers though - it is unique to the computer that the presets we created on, and cannot be migrated

    • Windows: C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Sonarworks\Reference 4\Systemwide\Systemwidecfg.db
    • macOS: ~/Library/Sonarworks/Reference 4/Systemwide/Systemwidecfg.db
