No mic audio during speaker Reference 4 measurement

I have an Apollo x8p and Apollo twin system and just bought Reference 4, but I cannot see audio in Sonarworks software. I am using Sonarworks XREF20 mic and I can see and hear audio in my UA Console and see, hear, record audio on Logic Pro X, so cable, phantom power, and mic work. But when I do the Reference 4 speaker measurement and in the section where it says to select input and outputs, the input pulldown section sees all my Apollo input lines, but when I select the one with my cable, I cannot see or hear audio. The output works fine, but not the input.

I rebooted tons of times, uninstalled and reinstalled Sonarworks software. I even reformatted by harddrive and reinstalled everything. I checked all the security and privacy permissions and all is good. I just cannot get audio to showup on Sonarworks Reference 4 software. Since I can see and hear audio from the UA Console, I assume its a Core Audio issue when the Sonarworks software cannot see the audio from my Apollo interfaces. I wanted to know if anyone has a solution for this.

Hey,

If you are currently running macOS 10.14 and the Reference 4.3.3.95 version the cause might be that the Measure component would not ask for Microphone access, which stops it from receiving an audio signal.

We are working to provide a build that fixes it as soon as possible. For now, you should be able to bypass the problem by uninstalling the current version of the measure and downloading an older one from this link.

Afterward, the Measure should prompt the system to allow microphone access and it should restore the full functionality of the software.

Hi Karlis,

I'm having the exact same problem with an Apollo Twin Mk2 Thunderbolt. Tried the newest version of systemwide, will now try the old one (4.2.2....)

Please excuse the delay - we are still going through a huge increase in incoming workload so we're struggling to keep up with all inquiries!

Are you unable to grant the mic access still? See if you can grant mic access manually in System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy. Click on the lock icon to make changes and add Measure to the list manually. See the attached screenshot and let us know if that does the trick. Many thanks!
