Yes, customer support emailed me and sent the m50x profile. I'll attach a download link for it. Download it, then open it in Sonarworks by hitting "add new calibration profile"

    Cheers

Why does it lower the output by almost 10db?

Sorry I moved the slider, it's minus 8.2dB

    Hi!

The 'avoid clipping' feature reduces the output volume by the amount of the highest correction peak to prevent potential output clipping and maintain a safe headroom. To compensate for the volume loss, simply adjust the output volume on your audio interface.

    Friends!!

if it's not too much trouble, could someone send me the calibration files in a link to download them? I have them damaged and it does not allow me to reinstall the program.

    It leaves me very frustrated.

    Hey!

If you're missing any profiles or a profile is reported as 'invalid file', proceed with updating the profile list. Open the activation window and click on 'Check For Headphone Profile Updates' - this will renew the entire headphone profile list and add recently released profiles too, see the attached screenshot.

Okay so I know this is an old post, but I just tried the profile linked over here, and the profile from my sonarworks app, and they are very different (for the same m50x model only). Any particular reason for that? I'm guessing the one I have is more recent so it was recalibrated to be more accurate than the one over here.

    Hey Anshul,

Yes, you are correct! The ATH-M50x average profile has indeed been updated since. The profile available for download within the software should be the more current option.

Hi I was looking for the Sonarworks' review of the ATH-M50x and found a rather old one. However I cannot visualize the measurement graphs https://www.k8s.sonarworks.com/soundid-reference/blog/gear-reviews/studio-headphone-review-audio-technica-ath-r50x/

    Any ways to fix them?

Hey Stefano, thanks for reaching out!

The content for this headphone review is not available on our blog at this time, including the images, sorry about that! Hopefully, we can provide an updated review of this model in the future. (To clarify, it looks like you are accessing the review through a different link, the blog post is not available on the blog itself.)
