Sending sample preview signal through the master in Ableton

    Hi Nicolas,

    That's an interesting case! I don't believe Ableton allow changing the internal signal routing settings for sample previews so I'm afraid I can't help you with this. 

    You could try setting up the calibration to work on a system-wide level by referring to one of our tutorials depending on your OS:

    If you selected Soundflower / VB-audio cable as your Ableton output, any audio from Ableton should be sent through Pedalboard. You wouldn't need to put the Reference plugin on your master chain. Please note, though, that this solution might increase the latency in your signal path.

    My suggestion is similar, if your audio interface allows "master buss 1/2" or something similar to be chosen as a source, you can use a pair of cables (or your patchbay if you use one) to bring that back into ableton.  It is how I record/sample things like youtube videos, etc....but should work for this.

     

    If your interface cannot do this, There are numerous (and free!) audio 'loopback' cables available online, similar to "Hubi's MIDI Loopback", etc.
