No input gain available for focusrite setup

On installation of sound id it setup my sound device a focusrite Clarett 8 pre usb. When I went in to measure it would play the test left and right tone and I set the output to a conversational level. Then it said to turn up the microphone gain but I had to turn the gain up to full as there was no gain in between o and almost 10. So I couldn't continue the measurement. Outside of sound ID I have phantom power on and I gain can be adjusted as expected. I am not sure what to do now. If I open sound id ref it goes straight to remeasure but I think something else must be wrong. Assistance would be gratefully received.

I have seen that when adding the interface that it wants a virtual windows driver and doesn't seem to offer up the Focusrite driver. I have a feeling this is where the problem is.

Any assistance before I return this device?

Peter Bailey if there is no input signal in Measure there can be a few different causes for it:

  • Double-check if you have an input signal with the Sonarworks measurement microphone into anywhere else (for example, see if you can get the mic signal in DAW). You have mentioned that you already have phantom power working correctly outside of Masure, but this can sometimes be a wrong conclusion as the test is done with a dynamic microphone (which doesn't require phantom power), not with a condenser mic.
  • Check if input permissions are allowed for Measure (see attachment below)
  • Double-check if you have selected the correct input channels
