Hi all,

On July 18, 2024, a new SoundID Reference software update has been released (v5.12.0.49, download here). Here's what's included:

SoundID Reference

  • Implemented RME export for devices with Room EQ feature support. Users can export multichannel or stereo speaker calibration profile presets and manually import them using the RME's TotalMix software. Supported devices at the time of launch are UFX+, UFX II, UFX III,  UCX II, Fireface 802 FS, HDSPe MADI FX, and MADIface XT II. Learn more here: Exporting a calibration profile for RME audio interfaces.
  • Temporarily removed the “Provide feedback” button due to technical issues.
  • Various minor visual and under-the-hood fixes.

SoundID Reference Measure

  • Fixed the suggested default profile name to ensure it does not contain any characters that are not accepted by the software when saving the measurement profile.
  • Various minor visual and under-the-hood fixes.

If you encounter any issues after this update, please let us know. Happy mixing!

sonar we would also love to see headphone profile export becoming available for RME and other integration partners. However, this requires additional development work on the partner's side.

I recommend sharing your feature request with RME directly. Also, posting on some RME community forums might help to get some traction from other users.

I was disappointed to discover it’s not possible to export headphone calibration to the rme interfaces. Is this something that is planned for the future?
