Hi,
I'd like to suggest a new calibration feature that would certainly be of great value to me and I believe to many other people as well. I'd love to see a function like "Calibrate your ears", by which the plug-in will make up for the frequencies that are not perceived well enough due to any kind of hearing loss based on measurements made in the same fashion that an audiogram test is done, i.e. sending sounds of specific frequencies at ever-decreasing volumes to the headphones until the user cannot hear them anymore. The plug-in then will know something about the user's hearing capabilities and adjust the EQ on each channel accordingly to make up for lost hearing. The starting volume (to initiate this kind of calibration) should not be a concern since the plug-in can calculate the corrections needed based on the most well-perceived frequencies in a relative fashion. I am sure that this would work quite well for me, being a user of your headphone correction software and owner of decent quality headphones. Such a feature, I believe, will make my work a lot easier and enjoyable, and based on my understanding I think that it should be an easy task to implement in your software.
Please consider it,
thank you!
