A microphone profile download error "304" can be encountered when adding your mic ID in the Measure app. This guide provides a solution.
Note: If you are encountering an issue with loading headphone or speaker profiles in the standalone app or the DAW plugin, you might be facing this error instead.

A corrupted microphone calibration profile
Depending on different factors, a microphone calibration profile might get corrupted. In such a case, it will give an error in the Measure app when entering the microphone calibration ID, stating "Microphone calibration profile download error". This error pops up because the profile is initially not recognized.
Solution
When encountering this error pop-up, there is a quick resolution available to overcome it. Follow the below steps.
- Access the following folder:
macOS: HD/Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Sonarworks/SoundID Reference/Measure/micprofiles
Windows: C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Sonarworks\SoundID Reference\Measure\micprofiles
- Delete the mic profile from the 'micprofiles' folder
- Launch Measure
- Input your mic ID
- Proceed with the measurement process
