The preference test is the second optimization layer for your SoundID profile creation. Our sound preferences are genuinely different, therefore Sonarworks conducted the biggest consumer sound preference research ever (over 40'000 sample size) and discovered that the definition of perfect sound differs considerably among individuals.
No more than 17% of listeners preferred the sound of one particular headphone model, leaving more than 80% of users believing headphone sound quality could be improved. Out of this insight, we created a preference test. The SoundID preference test asks you the least amount of questions in a series of A/B samples to find the sound that's the best suited for you.
