This article shows the purpose of SoundID Download Manager and how to use it.

Download Manager
SoundID Download Manager is a separate component, installed separately, for Perpetual license holders. This app enables users to download all or a selection of the available presets. As a Perpetual license works with local processing offline, the presets need to be stored locally.
How to use
SoundID Download Manager
When using the Perpetual version and new Presets are available or the trial has ended and the complete database can be downloaded, you will be prompted to launch SoundID Download Manager. This happens when clicking on one of the still non-present presets. Follow the link.
- Once launched, click on Install everything or Install the presets of your choice
- Let it download (~4GB)
- Quite Download Manager
- Open the plugin and see all installed presets available

I appreciate that the functionality associated with perpetual licensing is new, but it would be of benefit in the future to provide the ability to change the default locations of downloads and the cache away from the C drive. Also, the ability to set up a limit on the size of the cache with automatic culling of the oldest entries, for example.
I cannot be alone in having a relatively small C drive SSD (512GB), with TB of storage on other drives. Most other DAW plug-ins provide similar default locations but provide the ability to relocate libraries.
Hi Doug,
That's a good point. I have forwarded your comment as a feature request and it will be reviewed by our Product team.
where to download
Yes, please allow for installing the content and associated files to a default location other than the “C” drive. My 256GB hard drive is already 80% full. I have several terrabytes available on external SSD drives. I am sure this will be a problem for many users with limited “C” drive space.
Hi,
is there now an option for non-C drive download, capture, …?
Or can it be moved somewhere else and then path changed?
Don't understand that there is a path editable in installer and then there is only 1 file placed (WebView2Loader.dll) < 1MB. Make no sense.
Leo The Download Manager is installed automatically when SoundID VoiceAI is installed from our Download Center.
billybk1 abcman We’re improving the experience and custom install location, as well as an uninstall option for each preset are planned for future updates.
