Can you elaborate on this please? I am using Focusrite Clarett 2Pre and I get feedback when using the mic and setting up my system for calibration.

    Hi Evan,

If the mic signal is touted directly to your speakers (direct monitoring), this will cause a feedback loop making it impossible to take measurements. You can turn off direct monitoring in your interface routing software by turning the mic level down or muting it, but you might also have a physical Direct Monitoring button on your interface.

The mic will still be feeding the measurement signals into the Measure app, but not directly outputting to speakers. To put it simply, you shouldn't be hearing anything from the speakers if you tap on the mic or talk into it. Many thanks!

This UAD forum thread should provide instructions on how to disable direct monitoring -
