Multichannel speaker calibration profile saved incorrectly
A major software issue has been detected in the latest 5.12.0.49 update for SoundID Reference. The issue is with the Measure app, and affects new Multichannel speaker measurements specifically.
New measurements performed with the 5.12 update are performing as expected, however, during the Results stage, unexpected level difference markers are displayed: Infinity dB and NaN dB, resulting in a compromised calibration profile saved.
Keep using your existing multichannel speaker profiles
The first and most obvious solution is simple: keep using your existing Multichannel speaker profiles.
If you need to perform new Multichannel measurements, don't update to the latest 5.12 version until the hotfix update is released (a fix release will be documented in this article too, once it is available).
Temporary solution - revert to Measure v5.11
If you are a new user and need to perform the measurements for the first time (with version 5.12 installed), there is a way of rolling back the version of your Measure app for successful multichannel measurements:
- Uninstall the current 5.12 version of the Measure app:
- macOS: go to Finder > Applications > Measure and Move to trash
- Windows: go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Measure, click on options (...) > Uninstall
- Reinstall the previous 5.11 version of the Measure app, download here:
